It has been 26 years since the last time Argentina won the Copa America and it seems that no matter how many times the Copa America takes place, the next generation of the “gold production line” has brought Argentine football 5 titles. The U20 World Cup championship in 7 tournaments took place during 1995-2007 with 2004 and 2008 Olympic Gold Medals that will never win any more tournaments.

Successful pressure makes coach Jorge Sampaoli leave but the Argentine Football Federation has yet to finalize who will be the official new coach of La Albiceleste. Former coach of Jorge Sampaoli is Lionel Scaloni as interim manager until the end of Copa America.

The former coach who led Argentina to win the World Cup in 1978 César Luis Menotti was appointed Technical Director but his role so far stopped advising the Coach about choosing a Copa America player with the host weak players are playing in the domestic tournament.

The problems that Argentina encountered turned Brazil into a heavyweight champion in the Copa America this year, despite the fact that Selecao himself had problems when they did not have Neymar’s service due to an ankle injury. Gabriel Jesus is losing his form and Roberto Firmino has yet to achieve his optimal fitness.

The biggest threat of Brazil in recent opposition is Richarlison with the cut from the right wing. Uruguay is probably Brazil’s biggest rival even though they are sweating waiting for news of Luis Suarez’s physical condition. Uruguay’s strength at the moment in addition to collective play also has young midfield with Rodrigo Bentancur, Matías Vecino and Lucas Torreira combined with an experienced player and a public goods that will probably burn out for The Copa America was the last or nearly the same time they contributed.
